The tourist office is saved! Or, well, it will be - theres a lot of work to be done!
We are delighted to announce that the tourist office building in Lerwick has been sold to two Shetland women, Netta Simpson and Elaine Nicolson, who intend to reopen it as the Shetland Tourist Office, with a small shift in focus to local crafts and produce. The STA will be working with them to crowdfund resources and furniture, as the building currently sits empty after Visit Scotland left the premises last year.
