Easterhoull self-catering chalets are built on a hillside with spectacular sea views across to Scalloway castle and the islands beyond. The chalets offer comfortable yet affordable accommodation. There is no minimum stay and special rates can be arranged for long term stays.
The chalets are conveniently located in Shetland’s ancient capital, Scalloway, near a wide range of amenities. You will be just a 10-minute walk from the heart of the village with 2 licensed grocery shops, a café, post office, swimming pool, museum and local pub. The fisheries college on the other side of the harbour is home to a second eatery where you will find some of the freshest fish available – caught and landed in Scalloway.
The modern-day capital, Lerwick, is just 5 miles away, with a wide range of shops, cafes and eateries, pubs, leisure facilities, museums and visitor attractions.
All the chalets have been awarded three stars by Visit Scotland. Each one offers a cosy, comfortable, home from home with two bedrooms (one double and one twin), a lounge with TV, kitchenette and shower room. Wi/fi access and laundry facilities available. Those with reduced mobility should bear in mind that there are steep access steps.
Your host, Sarah Kay, is a talented artist. She creates resin art, paintings and jewellery. All of her work is inspired by the incredible environment around her and much of it incorporates found, foraged or recycled elements. She is also an avid gardener, for the uninitiated the garden areas are a lovely place to relax with a book or a cool drink on a fine day, but fellow gardeners will be fascinated to see what Sarah has been able to grow on such a challenging site. Visit www.sarahkayarts.com for more about her art and garden.
